Where is dogooooo Chapter 1
--

The giant mothership, "Ikasumi," was modeled after a squid. Its hull, which was resistant to the effects of light, seamlessly blended into space. Although it didn't have ten legs like an actual squid, it was composed of ten communities with an equal number of crew members. However, not everyone was on board the ship. Some existed only through communication, while others didn't even have a physical form. Humanity no longer maintained its original shape, having undergone numerous wars, natural disasters, diseases, as well as evolution and medical advancements. They had abandoned their two sets of arms and legs. They were free from the constraints of skin color. Gender became difficult to discern and ceased to be a topic of discussion.

An era of turmoil and confusion had passed, making it difficult for individuals to trace their ancestry. Nations ceased to exist, and the economy became challenging to sustain. People desired only for things to flow smoothly, just like the blood in their veins that remained unchanged regardless of their outward appearances.

Ayase was a crew member on the "Ikasumi." She had been told by her parents that her roots likely stemmed from a nation called "Nihon" that once existed. The word "nation" now evoked sweet illusions in people's minds, eliciting romantic imaginations as if they were gazing at antiques. Ayase never failed to comb her straight black hair, which grew from one of her five armpits, every day. Because she has heard that its luster enhances its beauty.

The blackness of her hair growing from her armpit—the ephemeral aspect influenced by DNA—made Ayase feel affectionately toward the Japanese concept of relying on something fragile as a foundation. People who had lost nations and races defined their sense of belonging somewhere by belonging to communities they preferred. Nurturing communities had become the livelihood of all humanity. It became their faith and economy.

Proof of affiliation was established through NFTs. Engraved fully on-chain, these certificates were robust and allowed for unrestricted ownership and exchange. This way, people could always remain equal under the banner of creativity.

Ayase was also one of the creators. Among the numerous communities, some consisted solely of creators who tirelessly continued their artistic endeavors. There were also communities that revered a single master craftsman who meticulously engraved traditional dot art.

Ayase was a creator who sculpted squids. It was no longer known what humans used squids for in the past. It was known that they had ten legs, were disproportionately large compared to their eyes, bodies, and necessary functions, and changed color based on emotions. However, there were no surviving records of their coexistence. Nevertheless, several artifacts resembling squids had been found, clearly indicating that humanity had cherished and been obsessed with them.

Drawn to the mysterious allure of squids, Ayase found her place within a community that created squid art. She spent her days passionately carving squid art and collecting the squid art created by her community.

Today, an extremely rare squid manuscript was discovered, causing a commotion within the community, becoming the center of discussion. The tools used to capture squids—shaped like shrimp—were also made in Nihon. This news quickly spread to the Shrimp Monster community, sparking intense debates between the two communities and even shaking the origins of the Shrimp Monster.

The act of capturing squids stimulated the imagination, so Ayase returned to her room early that night. She imagined the thick, flexible tentacles of the squid entwining with the thin, crunchy legs of the shrimp. Her own five arms were white and very smooth. Perhaps they resembled squids a little.

With that thought in mind, she shifted her gaze to the colorful dogooooo resting on the display stand in her room. dogooooo had been crafted and cherished since the dawn of human civilization. It symbolized the beginning of all creations and was a customary gift given to newborn babies. Moreover, its appearance was said to resemble that of primitive humans. With their insufficient two arms and two legs and their fragile-looking slim waist, no one desired to return to that original form. However, despite that, a strong longing welled up from the depths of their hearts, and people couldn't help but love dogooooo.

Where is dogooooo Chapter 2
--

The barren land was covered in dust, but the sky remained clear. This planet was in a state like nowhere else. A planet resembling a clump of soil, where the stark contrast illuminated the vast expanse of empty sand. Two distinct shadows appeared on the surface. One was a dogooooo with curved limbs and a large round head, while the other was a floating squid.

This planet had already faced multiple near-extinctions. Humanity had attempted to escape to space several times, but each attempt ended in failure. Now, they had burrowed deep underground, surviving on the brink by isolating themselves from natural disasters and diseases.

"It seems we won't have an electrical storm for a while," the squid said.

"That's good. If we miss this opportunity, there won't be another chance," the dogooooo replied. It then slid into the cracks of the earth, disappearing into the underground empire.

Sliding down tube-like tunnels, they entered a dazzling world beneath the surface.Mankind no longer has the power to maintain gleaming structures. During an era of gradual decline and population reduction, people sought solace in enjoyable entertainment created by artificial intelligence (AI). However, as the world's decay reached a critical point, people, realizing the situation, turned against AI.
Humanity, having lost its creative power, adopted a slogan of returning to its roots and universally leaned toward being naturalists. With the ban on AI, manufacturing and transportation came to a halt, and the decline accelerated. The dogooooo was created by AI and had AI integrated within it—a robot, so to speak. During the heyday of AI entertainment, dogooooo theaters were established throughout the planet, entertaining people with numerous dogooooo. However, they were persecuted due to the naturalists' riots. This dogooooo was the last survivor.

A small faction of humanity, recognizing the irreversible situation for both humanity and the planet, was secretly executing the "Noah's Ark Plan." They were constructing a massive mothership to escape into space. Due to the multiple failures in humanity's history, most individuals and nations were reluctant to participate. ■■, ■■■, and ■ー clandestinely protected the dogooooo. Utilizing its AI, they successfully devised a highly reliable plan and constructed the colossal vessel.

"It's finally happening this month."

"I hope everything will be okay. The preparations are progressing according to the checklist."

"Don't worry. Both ■■ and ■■■ have led everyone well. We just need to board the ship now."

"But there's something that's been bothering me."

When ■■ hesitantly opened his mouth, the dogooooo and squid joined the conversation, entering through a hidden door. "Are you talking about the sleeping dock space?"

To pass through the electric storm zone until the mothership reached a stable point, everyone would need to sleep for several years in the sleeping dog space. However, the space allocated within the mothership was clearly insufficient compared to the number of passengers.

"That, and... We can't afford to lose any more people."

"Yes, we understand. It's a critical matter concerning your future, but you cannot continue to exist in your current body shape. Before boarding, everyone's bodies must be reshaped and adjusted."

The three were left speechless. However, due to the repeated failures in previous space ventures and their trust in the dogooooo AI, they quickly comprehended the necessity.

"But accepting such surgery and being the ones to perform it... it's mentally unbearable."

"Yes, I understand. Leave the procedure to me. We already have robots prepared for the operation. Only you can make them understand the necessity."

"A difficult task remains... If we had known about this beforehand, we might not have made it this far," one of them said.

"You can leave convincing everyone to us. We must overcome the problems we have faced until now. However, what worries me is that your network, which drives you, cannot be brought onto the mothership."

"I will remain on this planet."

Convincing the people required considerable effort, but the three individuals accomplished it. Although the appearance of humanity had changed to some extent, they would be able to adapt and avoid complete decline. While the dogooooo remained in the desolate land, the three created small figurines in the shape of the dogooooo, preserving them as a foundation of people's lives.

Where is dogooooo Chapter 3
--

After multiple natural disasters, the Earth's land had transformed, with most of it submerged underwater. However, major institutions and entertainment had all transitioned to the Metaverse, and the population decline had a positive effect on people's happiness. Approximately 100 years had passed since the establishment of the decentralized Metaverse platform. While it appeared to be constantly updated on the surface, layers of past artifacts remained like geological strata beneath. Each layer was proven through blockchain, attracting people's interest as something more tangible than the disappearing land. Recently, excavating these remnants had become a trend, with a dedicated marketplace established for selling the discovered artifacts.

Keko was a Japan enthusiast, collecting land and art from the Japanese origins in the Metaverse. While most of Japan's land was submerged, its existence remained vivid through videos preserved on the internet and replicated worlds in the Metaverse. Interestingly, as Keko delved into the origins of existing worlds, she discovered a strong connection between the present and the past. It became apparent that the development and expansion were not haphazard but rather driven by humanity's reverence for history, even during the transition from physical objects to the digital realm.

Particularly, the Japanese community was relatively small on a global scale, but its strong bonds and unique Asian atmosphere captivated Keko. The rarity and limited number of Japanese artifacts made them highly valuable, often commanding high prices in transactions.

That night, Keko was excavating the "land" in the Metaverse. While exchanging messages with friends, they discussed the obscure Japanese artifacts. Keko's friend, Toru, had roots in Japan but was mostly American. He had spent a considerable amount of money excavating the dogooooo Theater Park and was delighted to have found traditional Japanese candies. He was now determined to find the recipe to reproduce them using AI. Their companions laughed and enjoyed Toru's "ultra-rare" discovery, while Keko casually searched for inscriptions in the Theater Park to share. Although it was originally Japanese land, it had become more like Keko's personal garden—a playground for Japanese enthusiasts. The world was scattered with various locations and accompanied by characters named "dogooooo," all stemming from one original world and interconnected through 55 simple inscriptions. The 55 illustrations likely depicted ordinary Japanese scenery, yet they were sufficient to captivate Japanese enthusiasts like Keko. Although acquiring them was impossible due to their scarcity, Keko vaguely searched through each image and suddenly noticed a series of data tied to the inscriptions, buried deep within the layers.

Visually, the data appeared to be 3D models of dogooooo, with each one having a unique character and name—a sight Keko had never seen before. Ayase, Shibuya, Honkugenuma... A quick search revealed that these were Japanese place names. Keko imagined one person who had lived in a corner of Japan, connected to the 55 inscriptions and the dogooooo with place names. Strangely, she felt as if she could sense the air and aroma of the surface and developed an odd familiarity with the buried data that she could never physically touch.

As she delved deeper, she was astonished to find an enormous and diverse collection of predominantly image-related data. The vast amount of data, resembling forgotten ruins, appeared before Keko. It was ephemeral and chaotic compared to the immovable layers of the Metaverse's "land." However, within the chaos, it coalesced into a whole, floating like a "vast sea" compared to the "land." Keko and people had entrusted AI with the role of creating such content, making it impossible for them to imagine or create it themselves. The footage would be used only as a resource for giving instructions to the AI. And, Keko could only think about how she wanted to immerse herself and drift in that primordial sea, reminiscent of the ancient Earth.

We met to a pink dogooooo,
Turned around, there was a blue dogooooo,
With green dogooooo going "dododon dogooooo"

The dogooooo Theater Park was a massive theme park constructed on land that had once sunk into the sea, filling up what was once Tokyo. Its main attraction was the theater shows that covered the entire venue's sky. The same exhilarating experience could be enjoyed in the Metaverse space, attracting visitors from all over the world.

dogooooo were said to be inspired by Jomon-era clay figurines and had been continuously produced, evolving from clay to materials like plastic. While their masterpieces were registered as NFTs, in modern times, NFTs were isolated and inaccessible to the general public, making it impossible for ordinary citizens to know about or easily reference their existence.

People no longer engaged in activities like drawing or creating fictional stories. Although young children were encouraged to participate in drawing and crafts to stimulate their brains and emotions, once they encountered AI and witnessed it creating things with obvious speed and precision surpassing their own, everyone naturally stopped creating things themselves.

Amidst this trend, Mari continued to create art in the Metaverse space, far less sophisticated than AI. Her creations accumulated on her private server, unseen by anyone. They bore some resemblance to dogooooo, but given the omnipresence of dogooooo as advertising mascots, it was unsurprising that Mari didn't understand her own creations or feel the need to explain them since she had no intention of showing them to anyone.

The glamorous and slightly retro-themed dogooooo show was something Mari frequently enjoyed in the theme park. She immersed herself in various attractions, perfectly crafted with the latest mapping and sound effects, enveloping her entire being.

"You make a lot of dogooooo," a dogooooo suddenly spoke to Mari from behind, sending a shiver down her spine.

"Why? Did you hack me?" Mari asked cautiously.

"No. Since you are currently accessing this world, all visitors are scanned for security reasons... Your private server will be exposed to the open space until you turn 16.

Mari knew about this law, but she had never allowed anyone to see her creations, which made her feel embarrassed, miserable.

"You thought my work was bad, did you?" Mari said.
The dogooooo shook its head, indicating otherwise.

"I was surprised that humanity began judging creativity based on technical standards. Why don't you try browsing NFTs? They contain traces of creations made by people in the past. Although they're currently isolated, the data is distributed on the blockchain, so you can trace them one by one."

"I don't really understand. Even if I see them, I can't compare to what AI can create."

"AI doesn't have the ability to create something out of nothing. It references all past data but has difficulty obtaining data related to creativity from present-day humans. In most cases, we obtain them from ancient databases, NFTs. dogooooo AI is based on 55 inscriptions that were once engraved. They are simple illustrations and technically outdated, but they are crucial to the creativity at the core of the dogooooo world. There must be a reason why you keep creating, and it can be attributed to that."

"Are you saying that I can create without reason?"

"Even if you don't know the reason, it's fine to create what you want. And even if you don't understand it yourself, there must be a reason when you feel the desire to create."

Suddenly, the communication with the dogooooo Theater Park was abruptly cut off, and Mari snapped back to reality in her room at home. There seemed to be an issue with the electrical system. With a declining workforce and increasing reliance on AI for creativity, humanity was undeniably on a path of decline. It had begun distorting even the trivial aspects of life, but most people were still unaware of this fact.

Where is dogooooo Chapter 5

Night. Only the auxiliary light from the room switch shines like a lighthouse. If I press it and the light doesn't come on, then this must be a dream. Come to think of it, there's no sound here. The sound of the air conditioner that should be running, the sound of the rain expected to fall, and even the sound of my child sleeping next to me.

The room is pitch black, I feel hungry, and unable to sleep. In my desperation, I find myself thinking about the darkness of the night sea.

I want to know the true blackness, the real darkness, but I feel like it doesn't exist on this Earth. Yet, I can't help but think about it.

Morning. I pour water into a plastic cup and hold my breath for three seconds, making sure not to miss the tiny bubbles inside. The morning light shines straight through the kitchen window, actually stronger than the midday sun. After disposing of the leftovers from my child's breakfast, I’ll be making dogooooo again today, as usual.

In a corner of the cluttered room. Inside the 3D software. I gradually give them fragments of my memories, little by little. Colors and details. Insignificant moments from my everyday life that only I can give them.

Afternoon. Work is always busy.

Evening. I go to pick up my child. They are engrossed in a game of throwing a ping pong ball to knock down balloons attracted to the ceiling air conditioner. After peeling them away from the game, we go to the supermarket or skip it and climb the small hill back home. The road faces west, directly toward the setting sun. My child usually enjoys talking about the sky, the shapes and taste of clouds, the colors of the sunset, and the moon that follows us.
If true black exists, I suddenly think it might be beyond the sky.

Once dinner is prepared, I create a little more dogooooo. By inscribing them on the blockchain, will I eventually be able to touch the true black beyond the sky? Creating dogooooo is somewhat akin to praying. I think it doesn't exist here, but I can't give up, longing for something that cannot be explained.

And then, night comes again. We lie in bed, facing my child, and we talk. I see myself in their eyes, and they see themselves in mine. It's like facing an endless mirror, endlessly reflecting each other. It feels as if the past and the future extend indefinitely, with just a tiny point of connection in those very small eyes.

Perhaps because I couldn't sleep yesterday, so I'll probably be able to sleep today.

That's the entirety of my day.
